I am reasonably annoyed that we are writing about how a basketball player decided to put a pause into his dream just so he can go on a mission for his religion. I was looking forward to be writing about Cesar Chavez because it is tomorrow but apparently we are going to write about how a boy loves church for the entire period. We even created a power point on Valentine's Day but apparently if the holiday is not related to religion it is not important enough to write about. I just cannot think properly right now. What a waste. Not everyone has to act religiously for their success to be validated. Those people also do not have to be athletes either. I wish we wrote about real heroes.

The only reason we are doing this succ ess statement is because Brigham Young is known for his faith in all things holy and jesus. Once again I have to respond to a quote about doing the right thing. That truly good actions is what makes you a good person. Ironically  we have to respond to these quotes. We  always talk about how actions  speak louder than words even though we should listen to words. Shouldn't we  form our own opinions and decide what we want to follow. No matter the amount of people talking about how believing in their faith is what will make them a truly good person. I have no interest in that. My actions will be decided by what I think. By my own opinions formed from experiences and arguments. I do not have to believe in anything "Holy" to live a good life.  Also I find it incredibly stupid to ban caffeine and tea from a place like a college. What did a frappe-chino ever do to you? If you really want to care about animals then pay attention to the environment to realize why having to farm animals is not sustainable.

What exactly is the definition of truly good? Who gets to decide what makes someone faulty? Some people think that having tattoos would make them a bad person? How can anyone be truly good if there is not specific standard set in stone. People will believe what they will. It seems unrealistic to be truly good, some others may also say that being truly pure means that the person has to be pure. I'm sure George Chapman had said or written way more interesting things. I wish I could agree but the quote is too vague for me to determine whether I agree with it or not. People should not worry too much about others opinions, I think we should just try our best because life is not simple. Nothing is black and white. We are a complicated species with individual complicated perspectives and views.

 Duties and Responsibilities: Opticians are people who are qualified to make and prescribe glasses, (regular or sunglasses)  Usually they prescribe glasses to correct vision. Optometrists and Ophthalmologists are the people who prescribe the glasses. Opticians do not test a person's vision. But they do fit, design, and verify that you are getting the right glasses that are perfect for you.

Also, Geulien  believes that cheating in sports is way more important than other things. C'mon when will we get to do something related to computer science. It is already halfway into the semester and I have learned absolutely nothing from this class. Only that OneDrive exists. We just write about dentists or surgeons and choosing the right by not doing drugs or have tattoos. Tattoos do not make people evil or bad! It is superficial to judge people based on how they look. It is very ignorant to assume you knows whether someone has good morals by how they look. If you do not personally know the person then you cannot decide whether they are a good human being, that is being vain and stupid.

"I won't cheat."-Dale Murphy
It is common sense that we shouldn't cheat. We do not have to see a video about choosing the right and people choosing the wrong regarding these simple and well known topics. Everyone knows it is wrong to cheat because it is unfair. Cheating is bad and stupid. Thank God Dale Murphy has enough common sense to know that cheating is too risky for someone playing professional sports. He is correct that people cheat in their everyday lives, it is still wrong of course. If Dale Murphy cheated it would lead to the end of his career so of course he cannot cheat. I am so glad to learn this new information today. This brand new life lesson is exactly what I needed from my computer science class.

I agree with Dale Murphy on this quote. I want to go home too. This class is mediocre. I want to sleeeeeeeeeeep. I want to see my dogs.
 But on this quote OOOHHHH Noooooooo nono noon ono onononon no. (No) Dale must have lived such a privileged life just to be able to say something like this so confidently. The world is unfair and filled with unfair people who do unfair things, in conclusion, people are ignorant.

Saint Patrick's Day
 Saint Patrick's day is a day used to celebrate the culture and heritage of the Irish. It is celebrated in The Republic of Ireland, It is also celebrated in America as an excuse to pinch people and drink a lot. Sometimes it is celebrated as a religious holiday for Saint Patrick, the foremost patron Saint of Ireland. It is also to celebrate the remembrance of some's ancestors that came from Ireland long ago.  Saint Patrick's Day is usually celebrated on March 17 or around that date. It was originally a religious feast day for St Patrick. MR. Saint converted Pagans to Christianity Mingle because of some reasons. He supposedly used green shamrocks as a symbol to describe religious stories of god etc. Surprisingly enough ST Patrick was never actually a saint. (wowwie) His real name was Maewyn SUCCat. He built churches across Ireland as well after he escaped from captivity. Leprechauns are fairies derived from Irish Folklore.

I am going to change the student success statement to this other quote from Benjamin Franklin because I am honestly exhausted of writing about having good morals and doing good things. It gets too repetitive so I am changing this quote I am analyzing. I think the latter has for meaning anyways. "There was never a good war, or a bad peace."- Benjamin Franklin I can happily agree with Franklin that when there is a war it is a sign of idiocy. If we would all just cooperate and find a non-hostile solution the world would probably be safer. Why must we fight for reasons that can easily be preventable, everyone seems to forget that talking to the other person can lead to a solution that everyone can agree with. War wastes resources that can be used to better the country and our own people. Example: The homeless, orphans, charities, poverty, helping other countries.

I wonder why James Clarke would think this. It as completely new concept to me. I would have never guesses that the stuff we do now, at this time, at the present, determines our FUTURE!!! Who could've guessed that if myself were to study for my vocabulary test I would get a good grade. WOWWWW I thought our action did not make a difference and life was unimportant. I guess I cannot do what I want now, what a shame. What you do in the present matter I guess.. I think it has something to do with the domino effect. If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one to see it fall, did it really fall at all? If I disappear into the void, would I have existed at all? Would I still exist. Ophthamologist

 Duties and Responsibilities: Ophthalmologists share the same duties and responsibilities, and probably the same patients as optometrists. The only difference between the two is that Ophthalmologists  perform eye surgery while optometrists do not. Optometrists only treat and diagnose diseases and illnesses of the eye. An Ophthalmologist may diagnose a patient's disease or illness, or maybe even just to check your vision by making you go through diagnostic tests. These surgeons are also qualified to prescribe glasses or contact lenses.

When people want to predict their future is is usually during the moment. For example after finishing an exam they would want to predict their future to find out the score they received. You can only create sop much of your future. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow and see where life takes you. I would like to see my future to see whether I own the house of my dreams. Creating something is not the same as seeing the finished product when you are in the present. It is like how we  cannot choose what partners we have for IDP so we cannot create it. But we still want to know whether we got people who are good because we want as many advantages as we can. Not everything in life can be controlled, all we can do is try our best and hope for the best.

These Technicians work in hospital settings.  These people work in the surgical environment. These people need post secondary education to be accepted to a job. Operating Room Technicians make sure that the surgical room and the surgical tools and equipment are safe( clean) and sterile. It is important to lower the risk of infection for patients trying to recover.

This quote does not make sense to me. Every student success statement is a version of this so I will answer accordingly. If living was as simple as knowing what is right or wrong, we would live in a better world with simple circumstances. But we do not live in a world like this, humans are not simple and decisions are not simple. Not everyone lives in such a privileged world that smoking a blunt is the height of their problems. Life gives us circumstances and obstacles. It is not always easy to know what is right or wrong. Not everyone has pure intentions. We all have different intentions and goals and we discover more "efficient" ways to get to them. Also what is the point of these student success statements? They are all the same just said by different people. It would be nice to write about some people who have actual meaning to the words they say.

Duties and Responsibilities: Occupational medicine is a type of medicine that deals with the prevention and treatment of injuries and diseases occurring while people are at their job. This involves returning injured workers to health and gainful employment in their chosen occupation. These physicians must have a general knowledge of work site operations. They must be able to diagnose and treat the workers efficiently.

The kids from the little league baseball team believed that what their coach convinced them of doing was harmless. If the kids knew it was wrong one of them would have done something about it. Kids would not choose to do something that dangerous if their winnings were on the line. I think it is rude to say that these kids will be dishonorable all of their lives if it was stated they they did not know that having a teammate out of their boundaries would make them have to forfeit the games. It is unnecessary to say that when people make one mistake that they will always be dishonorable. As humans we need to learn to improve ourselves and forgive others. We should be able to learn from our mistakes and not be ridiculed for trying to better ourselves. This definition of honor is upsetting and one-sided.

Nursing Home Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities: Nursing home provide all day care for injured or ill patients, usually for the elderly who may not be able to take care of themselves. The Nursing Home Administrator supervises all the staff to make sure  they are accomplishing their job to the best of their ability. Their nursing home is in charge of disabled and injured people who need assistance and care. The Administrators must oversee patient admissions, financial planning, and personnel management.

Salary: $87,000 - $119,000

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, Pass the NAB test, an M.H.A

Demand or Need for this Profession: to grow by 23% by 2020

 

Reflection: Would you like to become one? Why? Why not? I would not like to become a Nursing Home Administrator because it would not be a job I would find interesting. It is more of an office job full of monitoring and administration, I find no interest in sitting at a desk all day.
