                         Once upon a time there was a lovely 

                         princess. But she had an enchantment

                         only be broken by love's first kiss.

                         Many brave knights had attempted to 

                         free her from this dreadful prison, 

                         but non prevailed. She waited in the 

                         dragon's keep in the highest room of 

                         the tallest tower for her true love 

                         and true love's first kiss. (laughs) 

                         Like that's ever gonna happen. What 

                         a load of - (toilet flush)

               Allstar - by Smashmouth begins to play. Shrek goes about his 

               day. While in a nearby town, the villagers get together to go 

               after the ogre.

               NIGHT - NEAR SHREK'S HOME

                         Think it's in there?

                                     MAN2

                         All right. Let's get it!

                                     MAN1

                         Whoa. Hold on. Do you know what that 

                         thing can do to you?

                                     MAN3

                         Yeah, it'll grind your bones for it's 

                         bread.

               Shrek sneaks up behind them and laughs.

                                     SHREK

                         Yes, well, actually, that would be a 

                         giant. Now, ogres, oh they're much worse. 

                         They'll make a suit from your freshly 

                         peeled skin.

                                     MEN

                         No!

                                     SHREK

                         They'll shave your liver. Squeeze the 

                         jelly from your eyes! Actually, it's 

                         quite good on toast.

                                     MAN1

                         Back! Back, beast! Back! I warn ya! 

                         (waves the torch at Shrek.)

               Shrek calmly licks his fingers and extinguishes the torch. The 

               men shrink back away from him. Shrek roars very loudly and long 

               and his breath extinguishes all the remaining torches until the 

               men are in the dark.

                                     SHREK

                         This is the part where you run away. 

                         (The men scramble to get away. He laughs.) 

                         And stay out! (looks down and picks 

                         up a piece of paper. Reads.) "Wanted. 

                         Fairy tale creatures."(He sighs and 

                         throws the paper over his shoulder.)

Class Evaluation

The things that I like about this class is that we get to improve our typing every time we are here. We also learn some decent morals. I really like how this class is easy so then I spend the rest of my time decorating my blog.

  One thing I do not like about that class is that the student success statements tend to be very repetitive. Almost all of them either say to not lie, to choose the right, or to not do bad things. They are vague and repetitive. I also do not like how we can only go to the same typing tutor website, it becomes boring. We spend a lo of class time discussing how in a semi realistic situation someone did not choose the right and they faced the consequences. It would be better if we actually learned about computer stuff like coding instead of just practicing typing.

  It would  be nice to learn coding, more "computer class" like. We all know to choose the right, it is embedded in our brains. By now this entire class has been brainwashed with CTR.

  The highlight for me is that there is no homework :^)

  I did really try my best in this class because even though the SSS's are repetitive I try to write new reasons why

  I am reading my life planning goals journal every day fro five minutes. Once i pick it up from my bookshelf I have the urge to cross out the goals  I have achieved that day. Then When I get it to pick it up from the bookshelf the next day I write a few more.

  I am being committed to being a CTR person because I am a good noodle*cough* I mean scholar... I have no interest in doing drugs or smoking ever sooooooo. I do not want to be bad because I am too much of a weenie to do anything too drastic.

Honorable Jenny Talia :D

I will call the girl who did not cheat on her test Jenny, Jenny Talia. Jenny had that opportunity to cheat on her test but she refused because she knew it would be honorable not to cheat on her quiz. A brunette with dark makeup(stereotypical much?) offers to help her friend cheat because she is the bad girl apparently. Even though Jenny Talia refuses to cheat she is still friends with the brunette, which is good :^) The Video also should a man in medical school witnessing how other students were cheating when he was being fair and square and also responsible. Another student said out loud that he was going to tell their mothers...I mean their teacher on them if they continue to cheat. He was seen as brave and respectable because of that. The white men no longer cheated and most of their class passed. (yay I guess)

"When you tell one lie, it leads to another"- Paul Hatch
I kinda agree with paul hatch that one lie will just lead to another because people who lie get used to their habits. Once they are used to themselves  lying it will become a force of habit a majority of the time. That only happens in a small majority of cases. Usually when people lie they are small white lies that are not completely bad. Everyone with common sense can recognize when the lie has gone too far and it will not be believable with more lies. Even when someone chooses to lie they still have the choice to tell the truth or not lie anymore. Not everyone continues to do bad just because they did one bad thing in the past. It is more important to learn from your mistakes and to be the best you can be than worrying about someone lying if it was an unimportant lie that does not hurt anyone. We are taught to have self control, because of that it is not true that one lie always leads to another. Everyone lies, it is not realistic to expect that everyone is always telling the truth, everyone lies and most of the time it is not a big deal.

Patrick Kearon

This man chose the WRONG when he was a child, he did not learn from his mistakes :( 

He was in the desert with his parents, there were dangerous animals around. His parents always warned him to wear shoes so creatures like snakes or fire ants will not hurt him. Sadly one day he did not listen to his parent's wise words, he chose the WRONG :O He decided that he would only be away from a short distance so he wore chanclas instead >:O Right as he went for his walk he got stung by a SCORPION. He was in excruciating pain, the nearest hospital was two hours away, he thought he was dying. Once he got to the hospital the doctor gave him a serum to cure his pain. He THOUGHT he knew his lesson, but he did not. Later when he was older he felt REBELLIOUS and LAZY so he wore chanclas out into the desert AGAIN! >:L It did not end well. He Got stung a second time. Not listening to his parents really bit him in the @$$!

"Always do RIGHT."-Mark Twain

I can happily agree with Mr.Twain  about the statement he said about doing what is Right. No one should do anything else but do what is right, there is nothing negative about doing the right thing. That doing good can solve every problem. You will never do anything wrong if you always choose to do what is right! You will not ever struggle or have difficulties in life if you always do what is right no matter what. I think that this goes for everything in life really, even if you make mistakes, if you choose to do what is right and learn from them, your life will improve because you will not make that mistake again. If you have a very difficult decision to make, doing what is right will help you make that decision. If you want to watch T.V but you cannot until you do your chores then you should do what is right and do your chores.

"It's better to be alone than in bad company."-Mr. Haymoore

I can agree with this quote that it is usually better to be alone in these situations. It is bad to be with bad company because bad people do bad things and it is bad to be around them because it will teach you to be bad. You should not let bad people influence you to do bad things, that would not be CTR at all. An alternative to hanging out with bad company would be to hang out with good company like CTR people. Just focus on surrounding yourself with everything good and CTR to live a nice, respectable life. It is not good or CTR to surround yourself with people who like to drink or smoke. It is way better to be alone if your friends drink one night.
Try to be CTR and drink a Capri Sun instead of a shot of tequila or a pina colada. To be CTR is to be sober, not smoke, not curse, not do any drugs, not be dishonest, not be disrespectful, not be lazy, and the list goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on...

WWII

  1. The countries that fought against each other were Germany, Japan, and Italy, those country fought against France, Australia, Canada, Britain, New Zealand, India, the Soviet Union, China and the United States of America
  2. WWII took place mainly in Europe and the islands of the Pacific Ocean. The battles in Europe took place in france, Italy, Germany, Austria, and Holland. The battles in the islands of the pacific ocean were Hawaii, Midway, Iwo Jima and the Philippines
  3. Some events that occurred during WWII were that Hitler invaded Poland in September 1939, France and Britain declared war on Germany. After conquering Poland, Germany attacked France. France fell in June 1940, and soon the Nazis overran most of the rest of Europe and North Africa.

  4. We can honor and show respect for WWII veterans by simply thanking them for their service, donating to the USO, place flowers/other memorabilia on veteran graves, you could also just wear/ show a yellow ribbon on your clothes.

Challenges Teens Face Today

A few challenges teens face today are dealing with great amounts of new stress about many topics like; choosing college, getting good enough grades to get in that college, going to school five days a week, not getting enough sleep, having multiple projects from multiple classes at once,getting a job, having enough time for fun, etc.  Many teens are not completely sure how they should do things, the moment we become teens we have many new responsibilities we have to think about. Our entire future depends on the grades we get, the college we go to, the extracurricular programs we are in, the job we need, and what we are planning to major in. Other issues that affect the teens in our time are issues like teen pregnancy, low self-esteem, and depression. Many teens do not have or know opportunities to find help. One of challenges I face is the stress caused by school and thinking about my future. Being a good person just keeps me from doing dumb things like drugs or drinking. I would send those people to professionals who can help with their problems, like planned parenthood or a therapist. 
 
Teens need more time to find out their footing in their plan for their future. So much stress is caused by not knowing what to do. We all want to do great things but we don't know how to start. Even having one school day dedicated to figuring out our college plan would help a lot. Days before we would write questions about what we want to know and be able to ask professionals from colleges. They would give advice as well as other experienced people, the thing teens need the most is to be educated and informed.

I agree absolutely with former President Kennedy that physical fitness is very important for a healthy body. Being healthy and strong is very important when it comes to doing your best. When you are at your best physically it wells good, you feel more energised and inspired, and that leads to even greater things. Doing your best intellectually is very dependent on how good you feel. If you for not sleep and take care of your body you will not have enough energy to do simple things in life. Going without sleep affects your entire day. Mental health is  also very important as well. If you do not feed yourself properly you might  feel lazy and tired, which will not help you get to the peak of your intelligence and skill.  There is no way to do your best if you do not put the effort in becoming your best. Having a healthy body is extremely important to being the best you can be, all you have to do is take care of yourself.

Health Science Librarian

  Duties and Responsibilities: A health science librarian provides access to medical information with books, presentations, pamphlets, etc. These people help medical students, patients, and health providers on their search for information. they are in charge of keeping doctors/physicians up to date on the newest technology and developments in their specific field of expertise. They must look at for new experimental drugs, surgeries, and other developments to provide the patient with their best choice at the moment.

  Salary: $50,000-$65.000

  Education: Master's degree,Bachelor’s of science degree

  Demand: to grow by 5%

  Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not? I would like to become a Health Science Librarian because I would be able to study and explore what new developments are being made to make the healing process the most efficient it can be. I would read articles about new groundbreaking discoveries and be able to provide a new option for the patient that will help them better than the other options. It also seems to be very nice to be a librarian, I like organizing things.

I agree with Mr. Wirthlin that kindness is extremely important and that is the key to greatness. It is not difficult to be kind, nothing is stopping you from being anything but kind. Kindness gives people a good sense of character that your are a nice and trustworthy person. Good and Trustworthy people grow up to have good jobs and a nice respectable lifestyle. Being kind is a good thing, if you want to be great then be kind to everyone, even if you think they might not deserve it.

This thanksgiving i went to my aunt's house, my entire family meets up there for major holidays and birthdays. I spent most of my time with my older brother and my cousin in the game room playing  Smash Bros. Many of my other cousins did not arrive and there was no one new that thanksgiving. Not unless you count my cousins girlfriend getting pregnant (hooray!) Most of the time i spent playing video games and later on doing my homework. I continued to read "Night" by Elie Wiesel after thanksgiving dinner. I also worked on the three essays given to me during the break and a small pamphlet to create. It was a wild night because most of the family slept at five or even later in the morning. We were supposed to go home at around two a.m but my dad was not able to drive in his condition. We stayed the night at my aunt's house and it was nice. The morning after thanksgiving my aunt took my mother and I to go shopping at a mall nearby, almost everything was on sale! We got on a trolley and explored the shops and restaurants. My favorite part of the time I spent there was either the shopping the morning after or how my brother and I sabotaged my cousin in guitar hero by yelling out the wrong colors to him.

“Manners maketh a man.”-William Wykeham

I can agree that manners is what describes you as a person, your manners involve your actions. Whether you have good manners or bad, it shows how you area as a person. If you have good manners people will know that you are polite and kind, if you have bad manners people will believe you are disrespectful and rude. If you are bad at cooperating with people when you have a group project it will show in your work, it will show that you cannot handle the situation and that you are not trying. If you are hardworking and cooperative it will show in your work that you all did your best, it is nice to have good manners, you have to use manners in every situation. Manners are especially important when you are making first impressions on someone, you would want that person to believe you are good, that you are not unkind  and rude. It is important to make show your manners are always good if you want people to know that you are a good person. Words can tell you a lot about a person but actions will tell you even more.

This quote is similar to the other student success statements that I have done. All of them are about doing the right thing because it is right, being obedient, and to not lie or cheat. I do agree with them but we should do a variety of quotes, not just ones about doing the right thing. I agree with Aurelius, 

we should always do the right thing because it is right, we should also always never lie because that is wrong. If you want to not do your homework that is bad, you should do it because it is the right thing to do. We have to always do what is right because we are not to do anything wrong. Choosing the right is what we have to do every day and that includes never lying. It is a simple thing to do what is right no matter the situation, doing what is right is the most important thing. It makes us a better person to do what is right as much as we can. People should not lie because that is not the truth, if you lie to someone about not doing what you were supposed to, that is wrong. 

Thanksgiving

A group of Europeans decided to explore and find land that they would be able to practice their religion freely on. They made it to Massachusetts Bay on the Mayflower, there they began to build their village a month later. That spring they met an Abenaki Indian and a Indian man named Squanto. Squanto taught the pilgrims how to cultivate corn,get sap from trees, how to catch fish in rivers, and even how to figure out which plants are poisonous. The settlers then made an alliance with a local tribe, their relationship for those 50 years was not good at all. November 1621 as when the first thanksgiving was held, it was in honor of the first successful corn harvest of the pilgrims. The celebration lasted for three days and included of few natives and the remaining pilgrims that survived the journey. Pilgrims held their second thanksgiving in 1623, (to mark the end of a large drought). In this day and age our version of thanksgiving includes being around our family and acknowledge all that we are grateful for, we sit down together and eat a nice and homely feast.

I do not really like how the natives suffered from the pilgrims and I am glad thanksgiving then is not what it is now. It is not much of a religious holiday anymore. I really like thanksgiving and I have so many things to be thankful for. I am extremely thankful for my family and that we are happy and together, I am also thankful for my cousins because they make my life better, i am also thankful for; my dogs, my grades in school, my amazing friends, my aunt's cooking, my teachers, my laptop, my phone, my dad's Netflix account, and my clothes.

"Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing."-Chick Moorman

I can agree with Moorman that doing what is right fair and square is more important because it is always the best option to do what is morally right. Choosing to do wrong should never be considered as an option.I think that people should be more like Mr. Moorman, He is a man who never chooses the wrong, Chick has his priorities straight. It should not matter whether you win or lose as long as you know you did the best you could, fairly. If you win something by cheating it is not really a win a all, all the meaning that went into winning just becomes lost. When you work hard for something and you win, you will not feel guilty about it, you will only feel proud and accomplished. Doing things with an unfair advantage is not right, it will feel wrong and you will not feel proud of yourself then. Even if you lose but you did your absolute best, you will feel accomplished and respected because of how far you have gotten to reach your goal, whether you won or you lost. Winning or losing will not be the end of the world, there will always be other chances to show that you did your best, and that is honorable. Winning the spelling bee or winning a race fair a square will be the best feeling in the world. 

Veterans Day

Veterans day is on November 11, on Veterans day we honor veterans and victims of wars, it is also known as the anniversary for the end  World War I. It is important to show honor on Veterans Day because you have to show respect to people who have risked their lives for their country. A few ways to show respect on Veterans Day is to take part in a Veterans Day themed event in your area, that helps show respect and awareness. You could also donate to organizations that help support veterans as well. Even writing a letter saying how grateful you are for their service makes their day a little bit better. Ask a veteran you know about their service, educate yourself on what happened to them during the war.

I think it is really important to honor our veterans because of how hard they worked for their country. They knew that they were putting their lives at risk when they accepted to go into war. I wonder why they renamed Armistice Day to Veterans day. I can see how it is confused with memorial day, hopefully as time moves on more and more people will know the difference. It is nice to see that it is a public holiday so that people may have a day off to properly respect and be with veterans. What I find cool is that other countries also have their veterans day around the time we do. I read a article on Veterans Day by History and found out that there are approximately 23.2 million military veterans in the United States. The majority of them being 65 years or older, and that California has the largest amount of veterans living in it than any other state!

I can see how those three things are the magic keys to living your life with integrity, I agree with Stone. To live your life with integrity you should be able to know when to stop like how Mr.Stone stated. Courage is one of the most important things you must have if you want to live a respectful life. I can see how you must have to know your boundaries and know that what you are doing is right. You have to know when to say no because you cannot live your life doing what everyone wants you to do, some things are more of a priority than  others. If you get offered to go somewhere with your friends but you have to wprk on a project, then you must say no to going out with your friends. You must also know  when to face the truth, you cannot let yourself be blinded and stuck on things that are not important, you have to focus on what is in front of you that will cause an effect on you. In troubling times you must face the truth that things may be out of your reach, but that should not evr stop; you  from tr ying your best and moving foward. Lastly, I agree with doing the right thing because it is right because the only thing stopping you from being a goo person is yourself. You are your own person and you are responsible for doing what is right.

I can agree to a certain extent that this quote is true, but not in every case. It is better to be around smart and good people, whether they make you a better person is up to you. You can be around really troublesome and not the smartest people, but you should not let their actions influence you. You should do what is right everyday, you should not let anyone else's bad opinions change that. You cannot blame the people around you for everything you do that is wrong. You have to be responsible for yourself and your own actions. The most hanging out with a bad group of people can do is distract you or maybe influence you a little bit, but most of it would be your fault. You have control of your own actions, letting somebody else influence them is giving up on yourself. There may be bad people around you that you cannot distance yourself away from and they may or may not influence you. There is no excuse to do the wrong thing no matter who may think it is okay, listening to a group of bad people is different from just being around a group of bad people.

I agree with William Penn that doing good can solve every problem. You will never do anything wrong if you always choose to do what is right! You will not ever struggle or have difficulties in life if you always do what is right no matter what. I think that this goes for everything in life really, even if you make mistakes, if you choose to do what is right and learn from them, your life will improve because you will not make that mistake again. If you have a very difficult decision to make, doing what is right will help you make that decision. If you want to watch T.V but you cannot until you do your chores then you should do what is right and do your chores. It is not difficult to do what is right when you know what is the right thing to do.

I can happily agree with William Penn that it does not matter whether everyone else is doing the wrong thing, it may be normalized but it is still the wrong thing to do. It is important to remember that doing the right thing is always the best choice of action. It should not matter if other people do not agree with it because you cannot do the wrong thing when you choose to do the right. Your actions should not be affected by someone else's thoughts when it comes to choosing the right. An example of a situation where a groups decision may be problematic is when everyone want to go out for drinks, they may try to persuade you to drink with them and go to a party afterwards. You do not want to because you know it is not the right thing to do, you do not like drinking because of how it affects everyone else. You do not like rowdy parties because it is a giant mess all on its own. You know doing the right thing is to not go because you have many responsibilities to take care of. Your friends may think that you should lighten up, but still you should not go, going to the party is the wrong thing to do even if every one is against it. An example of how choosing the right is always right is when  you have to finish an important project for school but there is a program on T.V that you want to watch. The right thing to do is to finish your project and then watch that program because procrastinating is never the right thing to do, being productive is always the right thing to do!

  I agree with Peter Vidmar that you should not sacrifice what you want most for what you want now, everyone should always focus on their end goal. Sometimes we forget our goals and neglect them for a while, but we should try our best and put our greatest effort if we really want to achieve our goal. Peter's advice really worked out for him, he always remembered his goal and worked on it, and that lead to him achieving his life long dreams and lead to him doing something even better than what he anticipated. I believe that if you always keep one goal in mind and work on it as often as you can, you will improve so much in the long run. Developing a skill takes a lot of time and effort. If you want to become the fastest person alive you have to practice as much as you possibly can, you have to try and try again. To not fail and make mistakes you have to practice and learn from your mistakes and move on. The only thing stopping you from following your dreams is yourself. If you want to become a talented artist you have to practice that skill, you have to paint, draw, sculpt, go through trial and error over and over again. Setting your priorities straight is the first step in becoming what you want to be, you have to know what your goal is first to start trying to fulfill it. If you really want to become the best you, you can possibly be, then you have to try and always keep in mind what you really want in life, not what you want right now.

School Homecoming

  A school homecoming is an annual event where schools welcome back former students in a huge celebration. Homecomings were occurring in schools since the 19th century, these events were created to celebrate the football team with a football game. There may be a homecoming dances, homecoming games, parades, pep rallies, picnics, and they may even have a spirit week that includes so many more fun activities. The homecoming game is called a homecoming game because the school’s team plays on their home field (coming home) and play against another school. Typically the homecoming dance is after the homecoming football game. In homecoming dances a Homecoming Queen and King are chosen by the school to represent as the student body. Homecoming etiquette includes having a corsage or a boutonniere at the dance, dressing semi-formal, having a date or friends to go with, go out to dinner before the dance, and have a great time at the dance.

I can happily agree with Coach K that having a good name is one of the most important things in life. We should always think about making sure that we are the best person we can possibly be. When you want to create a good name for yourself it motivates you to achieve your goal at being a CTR person. The most important thing in life is being the absolute best you can be, for yourself and everyone else. It is very inspirational to hear this from a man who worked hard and played fair and square his entire life, he showed his determination and greatness in his work. Being a good person gave him a great reputation and a great life, imagine how he felt having 1000 wins! Nothing can beat being a good person, doing what is right is one of the most rewarding things in the world. I think people should look up to Coach K more because where he is now is an example of all the things that he has been through, he did his best so he ended up becoming the best coach there is in college basketball. When you have a good name life gets a bit easier, people trust you more and know you are a reliable person, when you show people this others will gladly help you in your times of need. Mike Krzyzewski is an incredible example of what happens when you have a good name and how it affects every aspect of your life.

Careers in other countries

Mexico: Becoming a doctor in Mexico will let you be able to help more patients because of how affordable it is. Being a doctor there is  also better because patients are never rushed out of there quickly, the doctors and nurses take their time with their patients. It also benefits the patients that they can trust their doctor and the staff because it is the same few people there all the time. People travel from Texas, California, and other states close to Mexico because getting help is much more available than in their states.

Canada: University Professors tend to be satisfied in their line of work in Canada. You will be able to educate young adults in the best way you can. University professors in Canada also earn a good amount of money yearly, the average being $85,000 a year.

Japan: In Japan engineers are in high demand because of their advanced technology. You will be able to find many jobs in engineering there because of their shortage. To qualify as an engineer all you need is a bachelor’s degree. To work in japan also gives you the opportunity to explore the vividly cultured land as well.

India: People there love to be pampered so the spa industry is very popular there. It is a good job that is reliable and calming to do. Your income will also increase the more experience you have in your field.

I can agree that you should be a great person, whether it is for yourself or for others. If you want to be known as a good person then you should become one and do your best everyday. Your good reputation will bring you things that are better than riches. Have a good reputation, be the great person people talk to each other about. By having a good reputation you show how you can be trusted and how you can handle things well. You will find yourself in closer friendships and other relationships because the people around you know that you're amazing and that you are trustworthy. Having a good name by becoming a great person can be one of the greatest things you will ever achieve.

Health Educator

Duties and responsibilities: Health Educators are people who promote the wellness of others, they teach people ways to better their health. I would like to become a health educator because I would love to be able to encourage and assist my community or anybody to become a healthier person. It seems nice to be able to help people and help them figure out the best plan that works for them.

Healthcare Administrator

Duties: Healthcare Administrators have to manage the business of health care. They are in charge of maintaining budgets, looking after the staff and other personnel, ensure that everything is under code for state and federal regulations, and they must make everything as efficient as possible. One of the main things healthcare administrators do is that they make sure everything is as efficient s possible while it is still under budget. They must be able to manage everything and provide the best health care service they can. Most Healthcare Administrators work for public healthcare systems or hospitals. They may also be in charge of billing and schedule changes.

Salary: $85,000-$100,000

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in public health/nursing

Demand for this profession: To grow 22% by 2020

Reflection: I would like to become a healthcare Administrator because I like to organize and plan meeting and such. It is just technical work and that is fine for me. I would have to be in charge of the staff and making sure they all get to where they need to go at the proper times. It seems like a profession that would keep me busy.

I agree with Mr.Monson that you should not have to do what your friends want to do if you know it is not the right thing to do. You do not have to follow everything someone says only because they are your friend, you are your own person that is responsible for your actions. You should be a person others would look up to, it is better to be a good influence than a bad one. Even if the others may not agree with you not wanting  to do the bad thing, you have to stand up for yourself  no matter what. If they will not listen to your reasoning then it is their loss. If your friends want you to try alcohol you stop them and warn them of the consequences to their actions. Your best option is to not participate but interfere if they are about to something else that is not good. You have to have control over your own actions and know when to stop and when something bad will happen, even if you are the only one who knows it. True friends do not frag you into doing something bad just because every one is going to do it. Good friends to not put each other in danger or force them to do something they do not want to do. Be good good person and choose the right no matter what the circumstances are.

  Video Game Designer

Duties and responsibilities: Video Game designers code and program visual effects in games. They can create complicated 3D characters using modeling programs and animation software. They must be able to create a real version of the game's concept and story line. The art and characters must work with the story-board so that it enhances the story, the player has to feel part of the story and using visuals helps with that. Video Game Designers must also check for any bugs or glitches in the game. These people have to test out the game themselves to see if anything has to be re-coded or if there are any flaws in the game. Video Game Designers work in groups to be able to create games that are coordinated in their stories and their visuals. Part of the group may only work in create the backgrounds and scenery for the game while the other work on character design or focusing on the animation.

Salary: $45,000-$90,000

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in game design/computer science, high school diploma, experience with 3D modeling and software programs.

Demand for this particular career: slow demand, only growing by 6%

Reflection: Would you like to become one? Why? Why not? I would like to become a video game designer because I am interested in a job that both has me able to work in coding and programming, as well as animation and art. I would like to be able to be a part of a game and create a story that can be shown beautifully with visuals to the game players.

  CTR people are people who choose the right for themselves, they must do their best everyday and always choose to do their absolute best. When you are a good human being you become a champion at life. Who would not want to be a champion at life. Becoming a CTR person is easy because all you have to do is do the right thing by choosing the right.You can do whatever you like by becoming a CTR person, it is the best thing to possibly be. CTR people are hard working, respectful, kind, caring, and so many other good things. Being a CTR person is what everyone should aim to be because it is the best you-you can be! CTR champions are people who are responsible, loyal, honest, and people who try their best everyday, and all the time.

Environmental Health Specialist

  Duties and Responsibilities: Environmental health specialists are skilled people who are in charge of public safety. They do their jobs by making sure that public places/workplaces meet the safety standards. Environmental Health Specialists may work for the federal, state, or local government. These people must risk their own safety to be able to provide public safety. They must test many things in the building to make sure that everything is up to code. These things include testing the quality of the water, food, underground storage tanks, potentially bio-hazardous items, and more. They take samples of everything that can be potentially dangerous and they test their samples at the lab.

  Education: Bachelor's degree, 1-3 years of training/experience

  Reflection: Would you like to be one? Why? Why not? I would not like to become a environmental health specialist because it is a career I do not find interesting, I would rather be a doctor than spend the day at a lab testing samples.

"Goal setting is goal getting. Set and get." -Mark Victor Hanson

I really like what Mr. Hanson said about how to get your goals, it is very inspiring.  The first step to achieve your goal is to create one, easy as that. It does not have to be complicated to achieve your goal. Once you create your goal , achieving it will be a bit easier, taking small steps at a time is less overwhelming. Even small goals are worth setting and getting. Examples would be like wanting to finish your homework as soon as you get home everyday. If you set many small goals that go hand in hand with your bigger goals you will feel better and less reluctant to do it. The best way to do something is to try, setting your goal is the first step that will lead you to success. If you decide to Get all A's this semester you can do it if you try your best, once you set your goal nothing will be able to stop you. It is good to set goals for yourself because you should challenge yourself and test your boundaries. If you do not set any goals in life you will not improve, you will just stay in place and not want to do anything better than what you can currently do. Our goals motivate us to do better and to become the best that we can possibly be, all it takes is for you to begin by setting the goal and committing to it.

Columbus Day

 Christopher Columbus was born in 1451 in Genoa, Italy. He worked on a merchant ship until the year 1470, the boat sank but Columbus was able to float to shore on a piece of wood. He floated all the way to Lisbon, where he began to study mathematics, astronomy, and navigation, it was at that time he began to plan his explorations. It was the end of the 15th century when Columbus decided to find an easier way to get to Asia from Europe. Columbus had ideas that he showed to Spanish monarchs and they formed an agreement that whatever riches they found at the location, Columbus may have 10% of it. They also agreed on giving him a noble title and to let him govern any lands he encounters. Columbus wanted to be rich and famous. On August 3,1493 Three ships set sail from Spain, but they did not find Asia, their unexpected destination was the islands of the Caribbean. In September 1493 Christopher traveled to the Americas on October 12,1492, where he left his two brothers in charge of things. Christopher Columbus was sent back to Spain in chains because of his two brothers’ terrible management. Christopher Columbus did not discover the Americas, but he inspired people to travel and discover the rest of the world.

  Columbus Day is a day dedicated to Christopher Columbus, it was they day he arrived in the New World on October 12, 1492. I do not agree with what Christopher Columbus did in the Americas, but I can appreciate the bravery it took to go out and try to find Asia even though he was wrong most of the time. He must have been very determined to find new land if he did not give up after many voyages.

I agree with Faust that choosing to be obedient does not feel like a chore once you have been obedient enough. Trying to be obedient feels like a chore only when you refuse to do the task. Being obedient does not feel like a chore when you do the task quickly and move on to whatever you were doing. The task does not disappear, you would still have to do it so the best option is to get it over with. Doing your homework is being obedient to yourself and your teacher, the work you are choosing to ignore will still be there. When you do your work as soon as you get home you will be stress free and not have to feel like you are wasting time the rest of the day. Once you take the first step to improve, you will get better and that will be your building block. You will become more efficient at doing certain tasks like studying or washing the dishes. Being obedient towards your family shows them how responsible you are, they will show you that and you will be encouraged to do your best at even simple things. Being obedient is choosing to be the best you can be, once you realize that doing tasks that seem unnecessary to you now become ordinary tasks that you will be happy with doing.

Pharmacy Technician

Duties and responsibilities: Pharmacy Technicians are people who work in pharmacies that are responsible for handling prescription drugs. They refill prescriptions when necessary and they provide the proper drugs to the customer with the prescription. Pharmacy technicians are also in charge of organizing the medicine and write reports about the supply and inventory. They must be able to provide good customer service to provide the best care. Pharmacy Technicians work in pharmacies, drugstores, grocery stores, hospitals, nursing homes, or medical facilities. In bigger workplaces, pharmacy technicians would work by themselves most of the time, other pharmacists tend to try to help the other patients in the meanwhile.

Demand for this profession: growing by 9% by 2024

Reflection: Would you like to be one? Why? Why not? I would like to become a Pharmacy Technician because it is a profession that is growing in demand and I would like to be able to help people with their health and be able to provide them the medicine they need. It seems like a nice thing to work in customer service but still be able to provide medical assistance.
