Duties and responsibilities: Medical illustrators are professional artists who must have advanced knowledge of life sciences, media technology, and be able to communicate medical ideas visually. Medical illustrators must cooperate with other physicians/ specialists to create understandable images from complex and detailed images. These images are used for educating, whether it is helping a patient understand what is occurring in their body, or if it is in a textbook for young scholars. These people must work with scientists and others to create an accurate piece of art.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to become one? Why? Why not? I would like to become a medical illlistrator because it is a job that includes illistration and animation. I also like how it is a job where I would be able to educate patients on procedures they might not understand. It seems nice to provide a bit of comfort to those who have not studied in life sciences.
