"Right is right only when entire."-Victor Hugo

"Right is right only when entire."-Victor Hugo It is debatable that not telling the whole truth is considered a lie. Do you think telling some part of the truth a lie. Or do your consider a partial lie the truth? What I think Hugo's statement means is that when you do not agree with only a small part of somethings that it is not right. If one detail is wrong than it cannot be right. Some lies are insignificant, this is because as humans we lie on a daily basis about unnecessary things usually to get out of awkward situations. Lying about  if you drank or not when you are planning on driving someone somewhere is a completely different story. I do not see the problem if it does not effect anyone negatively. I wonder what was Hugo's true interpretation of his words. Would he agree with my statement or that it is about lying? The world may never know.
