Dentist

Duties and Responsibilities: Dentists are doctors who specialize in diagnosing, treating, preventing, and monitoring their patients’ oral care. When dentists do their routine check ups, they may find a sign of a disease in another part of your body, what they do does not only include teeth and gums. They also check up on your tongue, neck, salivary glands, jaw, and even your nervous system! Almost all dentists work in their own private practices. To be a dentist you must be patient and have attention-to-detail, it is good to get regular check ups even if you feel like there is nothing wrong.

 Salary: $70,000-$140,000

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not? I would like to be a dentist because it makes a good living, also because it seems nice to have your patients trust you and to have patients that you’ll see again because of your work. I would like to work with patients of all ages, educating children about their oral health sounds like a good way to spend work. I would also be able to decorate my office with the coolest toys and toothbrushes to interest kids to go to the dentist more.
