“Obedience is central to becoming, being, and remaining happy.”-David Bednar
I can happily agree with David Benar that Obedience is central to becoming, being, and remaining happy because it is a simple thing to do, it is easy and it feels good to be obedient. Being obedient is just doing what you are told, it is simple and easy to do but it you have to want to do it. An example of being obedient is when your teacher tells you to do your homework or study for a test. Obedience can also be to do your laundry and take out the trash. Obedience is doing your job like writing reports or educating kids, or even to just put mail inside mailboxes. Obedience takes place in many forms, it is our choice whether we are going to obey or not. When you obey and do what you are told you get many things to your benefit. If you do all your chores and take care of anything else you need to do as soon as you can you can get more free time to do things that make you happy. Those activities can include anything you like, but if you spend your whole day being stubborn and not doing what you are told you will not have the time you could have spent doing something you enjoy. Like if you study for your test and read the chapters you can do whatever you like when you are finished, you will be rewarded with the guarantee that you will be prepared for your day tomorrow and with happiness. When you do what you are told at your job you will get awarded for your obedience, it shows your boss you are a good worker that they can count on, people will appreciate what you do and will want to reward you with something that shows it.
